(Press Release) On June 22nd, Dawes will release Passwords, the group’s sixth studio album, and fourth on their own HUB Records. Passwords is an album for and about the modern age: the relationships that fill it, the politics that divide it, and the small victories and big losses that give it shape. "We're living in such a unique moment in history,” says lead singer and songwriter Taylor Goldsmith, “Many of these songs are an attempt to come to terms with the modern world, while always trying to consider both sides of the story."

Dawes will debut the album’s first single, “Living In the Future,” on May 10th and you can watch the album trailer for Passwords here. Pre-order the album on all formats here and directly from the band here.

In the decade since Dawes emerged from Southern California, the band, consisting of guitarist/singer Taylor Goldsmith, drummer Griffin Goldsmith, bassist Wylie Gelber, and keyboardist Lee Pardini, has evolved and electrified and grown into a forward-thinking band for the 21st century. The result is Passwords, a warm, lived-in album that spotlights Dawes’s strength as a live act while also staying rooted in studio craft and consideration. The album bounces between the familiar territory of guitar-driven indie rock (the anthemic, atmospheric "Living In The Future"); SoCal soul ("My Greatest Invention"); and modern folk ("I Can't Love," "Stay Down"), but also embraces a spacier, experimental approach thanks to the band's newest member, keyboardist Lee Pardini.

At the conclusion of her endeavor, the young songstress received overwhelming emotional response and acclaim. As part of EmiSunshine’s independent “Autism Awareness” campaign, she introduced the self-penned original tune, “Ninety Miles,” and the corresponding music videos [the original acoustic video performance produced by Magnolia Pearl and the newly-produced contemporary version produced and directed by four-time Grammy®-winning producer, Tony Brown (Brooks & Dunn/George Strait/Vince Gill)].

Over the course of the month-long initiative, the acoustic rendition of "Ninety Miles" (Magnolia Pearl) enjoyed more than 2.85 Million Reached, 1.1 Mil Views, 74K Comments/Shares, while the second version, (produced by Tony Brown and released on April 25, 2018 via Country Rebel) reached 1.34 Millionand amassed nearly 400K Views, 34.5 K Comments/Shares in less than 10 days.

The “Ninety Miles” storyline originated from a close, personal relationship and spotlights Emi’s first-hand observation of the challenges her childhood friend and his family endure, and her perspective of the condition. Country Rebel featured both versions of the “Ninety Miles” music videos; GodTube, Faith Potand millions from across the globe also applauded Emi in support of her goal to educate our public surrounding this unthinkable condition.

“I just want to help others say what they cannot and convey to those who do not understand the condition, that those who suffer should not be shunned or left alone,” Sunshine explained. “My intent was to move people to take notice and become more educated about Autism, not for just one month, but for all time. I think ‘Ninety Miles’ serves this purpose and I hope we continue to ‘see’ those in need with loving hearts.”

The track comes from EmiSunshine’s recent album, RAGGED DREAMS.

Jon Worthy confronts the instability of love in his new video for the dreamy rocker "You Drive Me Insane" which finds Worthy as a man living in his car who gets into some trouble before finding his place on the stage, only to wake up back in his car leaving one to wonder if it was real or fantasy.

'I'm starting to feel it for real I can taste it

This feeling of never believing in me
For all of those times that you wanted you never confronted
The person you thought I could be
Oh my how I've waited, I've waited, I've waited"

Joseph Eid "Watch It Fall"

Singer-songwriter Joseph Eid paints a realistic, insightful picture of how life's more difficult moments shape our identity with his latest tune, "Watch It Fall." Led by the sunny strum of an acoustic guitar, Vern Monnett's emotional pedal steel, and Eid's comforting vocals, "Watch It Fall" balances the joy with the melancholy as it uses the varied stories of a building's tenants as a metaphor for one man's life.

"The old lady by the stairs been living there for 40 years, she’s got stories of fright
She tells tales of ghosts in the halls from tenants who lived here before and the way that they died, Then she touches my face and says “I remember the man in your place” and that’s when I slowly start to back out
And I say “lady thank you for the history but I really gotta go, you see, there’s some things I don’t wanna know about.”
I watch it all fall fall fall down, From the roof to the walls to the ground ground ground, I watch a dream sink sink sink low low low, they keep on telling me “go”
But one day when I’m famous, I’ll finally move out of here, I first said ‘6 months’ but it’s been 6 years and I’m still here. . . "

The music video, filmed and directed by Patrick McPherson, brings the vision behind the music to life. A split screen reveals both the broken artist and the people’s lives he witnesses who inspire him to create something beautiful. Enjoy the video above and for more information visit the links below.
