ERIC CHURCH KICKS OFF THE OUTSIDERS RELEASE WEEK WITH RARE APPEARANCES ON CBS SUNDAY MORNING AND JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!

Kicking off a busy release week for his highly-anticipated and already critically-acclaimed fourth studio album for EMI Records Nashville, The Outsiders, Eric Church will make rare appearances on national television starting with CBS Sunday Morning at 9:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 9 and a late-night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, Feb. 10.

Eric will also take you "Inside The Outsiders" on Saturday, February 8th at 2pm ET on CMT. You will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Outsiders as well as see live performances, song sneak peeks and brand new interviews from Eric Church.

The Outsiders, which was produced by Church’s longtime collaborator Jay Joyce, will hit shelves on Tuesday, Feb. 11. In early reviews, Jody Rosen of Vulture calls The Outsiders “[Church’s] best yet,” noting that “Church’s records are the most sonically distinctive in commercial country, balancing rootsy earthiness and digital snap, with a muscled-up rhythm section that is more rock than country—and more classic heavy-blues-rock than the eighties arena-rock that’s the current Nashville norm.” (Read Rosen’s full review here.)

SPIN magazine features Church on its cover this week, saying “He's the most exciting, sonically fearless singer in Nashville. The guy who can win the CMA Album of the Year (for 2011 breakthrough Chief, his third, anchored by a monster low-power ballad called "Springsteen") and play Coachella, Austin City Limits, and Metallica's Orion Fest.” (Read the full cover story here.)

NPR adds, "The greatest thing about The Outsiders is its range, both in sound and in the stories [Eric Church] tells. People call Church an outlaw, but that's too tight a frame for someone who can craft nostalgic Top 40 ear candy like 'Give Me Back My Hometown,' with its immortal line about wooing and losing his girl at the Pizza Hut, next to novelty numbers like the boy-loses-beer lament 'Cold One' and nearly psychedelic jams like 'Devil, Devil (Prelude: Princess of Darkness).'" (Read the full NPR review here.)

Entertainment Weekly raves that “The Outsiders — the still-rising star's most brazen, brilliant disc yet, and the first great album of this year — challenges country's chart-dominating pickup polishers, drawing on riff-wagging rock and early Beastie Boys-style beats.” (Read the full review from Entertainment Weekly here.)

Looking for some new music this weekend? Why not give a listen to Adrian Duffy & The Mayo Brothers. The brothers in the band are London based Adrian Duffy (acoustic guitar, vocals, mandolin), Chris Duffy (drums & percussion) & Melvin Duffy (pedal steel, slide & electric guitars, bass & vocals), with the family hailing from Co Mayo, Ireland.

The boys were brought up on a "diet of Merle Haggard, Buddy Holly, Neil Young, Johnny Cash and The Band." Through their uncles, The Duffy Brothers, they got to spend some of their childhood backstage with the likes of Tammy Wynette, Charlie Pride and Emmylou Harris. They site more recent influences as Steve Earle, Wilco, Shawn Colvin and Alison Krauss. This blend of influences gives them a unique sound.

Their new single "Someone Like You" is to be released worldwide on March 30, 2014. The song is taken from their recent EP of the same name. "Someone Like You" finished a run of seven straight weeks on the RTE Radio 1 playlist and had 100's of plays across national UK, Irish, Danish and Swedish radio.

“Someone Like You” is mixed and produced by Matt Kemp (Ry Cooder, The Chieftains), mastered by Denis Blackham (Dolly Parton, Elvis Costello) and released through their own indie label SR Records.

The group was nominated 2014 IASCA Irish Radio Artists, following on from their nomination back in 2012. They are now starting to pick up some great country music reviews and radio plays in the USA & Canada.

Dierks Bentley Riser, a film documenting the inspiration behind Bentley's seventh studio album Riser, will premiere on Palladia Feb. 22 at 8pm CT. The project is directed by Wes Edwards. It chronicles Bentley's life following the death of his father and birth of his first son, as well as other intimate moments. He has said, "I wanted this album to be that deeper look at who I am and who I try to be, and so I guess it's the same with this film, too. The first time I watched the rough edit, I actually got physically uncomfortable because it's all in there; my whole life right there on the screen for the whole world to see."
A special edit will be available on CMT Feb. 22 at 1pm CT. See the trailer below.
