John Moreland to Make Network TV Debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Tonight, Feb 1st2/1/2016  Courtesy: All Eyes Media Nashville, TN (Press Release) - Critically acclaimed Oklahoma singer/songwriter John Moreland will be making his network television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this evening, February 1st, 2016. The show airs at 11:35/10:35 CT on CBS.
Moreland’s current album High On Tulsa Heat was released last April and resonated deeply with both his devoted fans and the press. The album received coverage from a vast array of outlets including The New York Times,Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, Utne Reader, American Songwriter, CMT Edge and many more. Moreland was also the subject of an in depth feature in The Wall Street Journal (click HERE) and NPR Music premiered Moreland’s dark and haunting video for the song “Cherokee” which can be viewed HERE. Moreland’s poignant lyrics, and honest sincere delivery have earned him immense respect amongst his peers as well. The unexpected silver lining from losing one-of-a-kind vintage instruments, personal belongings and merchandise including copies of their October release, Hard to Please (only their van was recovered), has been a massive show of love from fans, fellow players and others sympathetic to their plight. In fact, the band gained 1,500 new social media fans in a 24-hour period. As word spread of the theft, social media took over; the band’s Facebook post went viral and a fan-requested donation site raised more than $40,000 in two days to help cover substantial costs not borne by insurance — including the true value of their instruments. |
