Andy Oliveri & The Mountaineers Prepare to Release New Album, Call Them Brothers; Stream "Sky Candy Apple" Now

Picture
Andy Oliveri & the Mountaineers explore all angles of their collective musical heritage on their debut album. Produced by James Bragg (Genghar, Tourists) Call Them Brothers is not only a cumulative history of great songwriters but is indicative of the way in which those albums were created. Heavily influenced by College rock bands, Britpop and Shoegaze from the late 80’s and early 90’s Oliveri’s first offering with The Mountaineers picks bits from history to build a new beginning. Adopting reminiscent tones and textures, Oliveri’s intelligent songwriting craft has been deconstructed and rebuilt, creating a diversity of fragility, sleazy guitar licks and late night poolside synth jams.

Every project begins with an idea, for Oliveri and the band this was "Ohio". The first track written as an acoustic demo was swiftly scrapped and imposed with the rule that its arrangement will not include any guitars. This shift in breaking down the walls of their creative freedom would mean the band could explore every avenue, allowing the record to take shape around them, finding a fulfilling destination at the end of each one.

These previously unreleased tracks are taken from his last recording sessions at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee and were produced by Grammy award-winner Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price.)

Now Saustex brings you his first-ever official U.S. release that features the cream of his catalog with a great backing band that includes Steve Potts (drums - Al Green, Neil Young, Gov’t Mule), Dave Roe (bass - Johnny Cash, Sturgill Simpson) and firebrand guitarist John Paul Keith (Ryan Adams, Jack Oblivian, The One Four Fives).

An Evening With Brandy Clark & Charlie Worsham  launches on  April 6

Nashville, Tenn. – Two of Nashville’s “best-kept secret(s)” (Billboard/Taste of Country) are getting together for a noteworthy tour promising an incredible night of music and immense talent. Warner Bros. Record’s labelmates Brandy Clark and Charlie Worsham will come together on more than 20 tour dates this spring. Having previously collaborated on multiple esteemed events including Front and Center’s CMA Songwriter Series   as well as Worsham’s 2016  MidniteJamboree – which Billboard’s Chris Willman called “the hottest show of CMA Fest…in every conceivable way” – the revered pair will hit the road together beginning on  April 6  at The Southern in Charlottesville, Va. with stops in Washington, D.C., Austin, Texas, Nashville, Tenn. and more. Tickets are on sale now at  www.ticketmaster.com andwww.ticketfly.com.

"Charlie Worsham is one of my favorite singers, songwriters, and musicians. I absolutely love his new record and where his heart is musically," shares Clark, "I can't wait to share the stage with him."

“Few artists can make you feel the power of music quite like Brandy Clark,” raved CMT of Clark’s ability to move crowds with only her voice and an acoustic guitar. Last year marked several successful acoustic tours and the release of her critically acclaimed sophomore album, Big Day in a Small Town, which was produced by Nashville’s Jay Joyce and garnered Clark two 2017 GRAMMY nominations for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance for her emotional second single, “Love Can Go To Hell.” The album has been revered as "gritty and visceral" (Associated Press), "aggressive and big-grinned" (SPIN) and also “made her one of country’s driving forces” (TIME).  Rolling Stone   praised, “it's music tooled alternately for stadiums and songwriting circles, commercial and public radio, line-dance bars and coffee shops…Clark is good at bending country boilerplate.”
