(Press Release) Lightning Rod Records'  artist and emerging singer-songwriter  Dalton Domino  will release his second album, Corners, on  April 28th. The 10-track collection, written over the last year between Nashville and  Fort  Worth, is an album Domino credits with being a journey of finding his true self.  Meticulously crafted with well-thought out lyrics and built around the musicality of his band, Corners  showcases his   varied influences from punk rock to traditional country, showing why the 27-year-old is quickly establishing himself as  a leader in the Texas songwriting scene.  Dropping on Domino’s first anniversary of sobriety, the album’s title track was inspired   by his work   with Nashville songwriter Travis Meadows, who encouraged him to dig into the darkest “corners” of his life while writing this album.

Creating an album the Lubbock-based songwriter hopes will help others much like himself, it features  his latest single “July,”  which is his first Top 10 song on the Texas Country Radio Chart.  Recently debuting "July" on  TV,  Domino will soon hit the road this spring in support of  Corners including a performance during  LJT  Texas Music Festival  this April, along with select dates with Will Hoge, Gary Allan, and others.  (Press Release)  Austin, Texas'  Phoebe Hunt & The Gatherers   will release the album  Shanti's Shadow  on June 2nd.

Folk Alley   debuted the video for the lead single "Lint Head Gal," a stomping country blues song about a hard working, independent woman. "She loves music with her whole body," Folk Alley writes about her performance in the video. "Like the character she's singing about, Phoebe Hunt is clearly going to do things her own way - and have a fabulous time doing it."  Watch  "Lint Head Gal"  HERE

"'Lint Head Gal' is the story of a revolutionary woman," Hunt tells Folk Alley. "During the time of industrialization in American history, many women moved from the country into the cities to create an independent life for themselves, free from the shackles of the patriarchal paradigm they had been raised within. Often times these women ended up in factory jobs, just barely skimming by. This quest meant being rough and tough and ready to do almost anything for freedom. 'Lint Head Gal' embodies that women and her quest for personal liberty."

Nashville, TN (Press Release) — Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist Jason Isbell and his mighty band, the 400 Unit, have announced the June 16th release of the highly anticipated new album, The Nashville Sound (Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers). The Nashville Sound is the follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed  Something More Than Free, which won two Grammy Awards (Best Americana Album & Best American Roots Song, “24 Frames”) and two Americana Music Association Awards (Album of the Year & Song of The Year, “24 Frames”).

Without exaggeration, Jason Isbell has become one the most respected and celebrated songwriters of his generation. He possesses an incredible penchant for identifying and articulating some of the deepest, yet simplest, human emotions, and turning them into beautiful poetry through song. “There's no better songwriter on the planet at this moment, no one operating with the same depth, eloquence or feeling,” says  American Songwriter Magazine. Isbell sings of the every day human condition with thoughtful, heartfelt, and sometimes brutal honesty, and the new album is no exception.

Houston, TX - - - March 10, 2017 (Press Release)- - - Wednesday   night touring powerhouse Cody Johnson made his debut as headliner at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™.  Johnson moved over 7,500 hard tickets in less than 48 hours immediately following the announcement that he had been added to the bill.  In front of a crowd of over 60,000, Johnson turned in an electrifying set that whipped the audience into a frenzy and an hour long singalong.  Fans burst into song numerous times during his set that included classics “Me And My Kind,” and his current Billboard single “With You I Am.”   When Johnson sang his breakout hit “Texas Kind Of Way” the deafening and over-the-top response from the crowd literally stopped Johnson in his tracks and brought him to tears.

Johnson was truly moved, “I’ve been wanting to play here my whole life.  For a kid who grew up in the shadow of the Astrodome…it’s a dream come true.  It’s pretty surreal to get the call.”  In true cowboy style, and the delight of a smitten crowd, Johnson took a page out of George Strait’s book riding out of the stadium on horseback.

“Cody Johnson was incredible at his Rodeo Houston debut! His performance surpasses his reputation!”

A surprise gift on their wedding day for his bride-to-be, the song was supposed to be just that, a gift. However, when the bride heard the song, she knew it had to be their first-dance song.  A rough hand-held video from their wedding went viral picking up over  half-a-million views; meanwhile, thousands of encouraging messages poured in urging the release of the track. “Promise To Love Her” has all the makings of a hit song, not only for brides, but for anyone who has ever fallen in love.

The single was written by Howard and  Jordan Kyle Reynolds, and produced by  Brad Hill (Grammy-nominated for Maren Morris’ album, Hero).  The track was so intimate, Howard was reluctant to release it; however, the massive volume of comments and private messages he was receiving on Facebook from soon to be brides and grooms wanting to use the song, confirmed that he needed to release it as a single.  “Promise to Love Her” is sure to be the next great love song.
