JT Hodges released his new single, "Already High," to iTunes and country radio today.

Written by Hodges and Kevin Griffin, the lead singer of Better Than Ezra who has written hits for Taylor Swift and Sugarland, "Already High" is sure to be on your summer playlist. With an infectious lead in, fans will be hooked from the first beat of the song. 

Regarding the lyrical composition, Hodges shares, "Kevin and I were talking about what beers and/or liquors we preferred the day we were writing this one. You know, the deep stuff guys talk about. We also went on to admit that too much of the stuff sometimes had our ladies making us sleep on the couch. Kevin then began to lay down this killer groove and we basically wrote an apology to them, professing there's no better high than the love they give us." 

Taking an honest approach on love, JT gives country fans a new love song for summer! You can hear a teaser of "Already High" HERE and head on over to iTunes so you can turn it up all summer long!

Miranda Lambert's Platinum sits atop the all-genre Billboard 200 as the #1 album in the nation with 180,000 albums sold. In addition, Miranda becomes the only country artist in the 50-year history of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart to have each of her first five albums debut at #1. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Platinum marks a 35% increase in sales over her previous album release.

Grammy-winner Kacey Musgraves will perform the television debut of her tune, “The Trailer Song” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 12 at 11:35 pm ET on NBC.  

The following night (Friday, June 13) pop-superstar Katy Perry and Musgraves will join together in an all-new episode of CMT CROSSROADS, which will premiere at 10 pm ET/PT on CMT.

CMT CROSSROADS: KATY PERRY AND KACEY MUSGRAVES marks the 50th episode of the longest-running music series of the network and will feature exclusive collaborations of their hits, including Perry’s “Roar” and “Teenage Dream,” and Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow” and “Merry Go ‘Round.”

Brandy Clark, whose 2013 release, 12 Stories, was critically adored by just about everyone, will be headlining the Highline Ballroom on June 20th.

Prior to 12 Stories, Brandy had a hand in writing songs that were hits for others, including "Better Dig Two" (The Band Perry) and "Mama's Broken Heart" (Miranda Lambert).

12 Stories, Brandy’s debut album as an artist, is full of diverse characters showcased in humorous, moving and real songs. In “Stripes,” a woman fantasizes about killing her cheating husband, but doesn’t want to be caught dead in that orange prison jumpsuit. Then there’s the bored housewife in “Get High,” who escapes life's daily drudgery by doing just that.

Brandy has said, “I get my inspiration from real people who are just surviving their life and getting through their day. That’s who I write songs for. I want to write songs for somebody who is working at a bank—if that person could write a song, what they would write. That’s my goal.”

On Tuesday (6/3), Country Weekly magazine kicked off the 2014 CMA Music Festival with the annual Country Weekly Kick-Off Party powered by NASH, which raised $17,000 for Musicians On Call (MOC). Sponsored by Durango and Roper, the party was held at the Mercy Lounge in downtown Nashville, and featured music from Kip Moore, Frankie Ballard, and host, Chuck Wicks.  All proceeds directly impact Musicians On Call’s ongoing efforts to bring the healing power of music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.
 
"What a great night for Musicians On Call and music fans thanks to Country Weekly, " shares Pete Griffin, president of Musicians On Call. "With incredible support from Kip Moore, Frankie Ballard and Chuck Wicks we were able to raise funds and awareness so we may continue our mission of bringing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in hospitals around Nashville and throughout the country."
 
The eighth annual “Summer of Music” auction for Musicians On Call is open for bidding. Running through July, the auction features concert ticket packages, meet-and-greet experiences and personalized memorabilia from country music’s biggest stars, including Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band and many more.
