School Of Rock's Brian Falduto to Release 'Love One Another' EP

Picture
(Press Release) BRIAN FALDUTO, once the young Billy (aka “Fancy Pants”) we all knew and loved has grown up and graduated to become a successful Singer/Songwriter in his own right. Over the last year, Brian has been hard at work writing, performing, and recording in New York City in preparation for his music debut. Previously, his history of work has been in Film, TV, Stage, and Radio.

"You're tacky and I hate you!" is one of the greatest if not one of the “most-used-as-a-GIF” movie lines of the 2000’s. Since uttering those famously sassy words in the blockbuster movie School of Rock (starring Jack Black, Joan Cusack, Sarah Silverman), Brian studied Theatre Performance and Arts Administration at Wagner College in New York City. Administratively, he's worked for theatrical production companies and theatrical PR firms as well several radio stations, including NASH FM 94.7, where he served as an Event Manager & Coordinator, helping to bring country music back to NYC. However, Brian never dismissed his passion for performing; he has starred in countless theatre projects & tours and lent his vocal chops to jingles, voice-over projects & collaborations with other artists. After always having had a love of music, Brian is finally stepping out, taking his place center stage, and releasing his first-ever EP Love One Another.

Stream “1000 Pink Balloons” HERE

After establishing himself as one of the premiere songwriters of late 2000s,
Brad Byrd is back after nearly 6 years with a brand new single, and album on the way! Just premiered on Vents Magazine, "1000 Pink Balloons" reflects on self-discovery and strength in letting go, and captures the current moment in time when so many people feel invisible and powerless. "1000 Pink Balloons" refers to watching something huge develop in front of your eyes, seemingly fragile but unstoppable.

The new album Highest Mountain was written and produced by Byrd alongside John Kimbrough (Walt Mink, Tenacious D), and is slated to arrive at the end of June. Brad's multi-layer songwriting has landed his music on shows like the The New Girl, Happy Endings, American Housewife, and Ben & Kate. Brad Byrd has performed with the likes of Bobby Long, Mike Doughty, Jay Farrar (of Son Volt), and Jurassic 5.

(Press Release) Atlanta-based award-winning Americana singer-songwriter Eliot Bronson is set to release his next album, James, on  August 25, 2017  via Rock Ridge Music.   James  was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton), who also produced Bronson’s most recent, self-titled album. “It was a pleasure working with Eliot,” says Cobb. “He is a brilliant lyricist and poet.”

“Dave Cobb’s honesty and old-fashioned vibe were so appealing to me,” Bronson says. “They leant themselves to the way I created. And, of course, it was a huge boost to have this great artist/producer at your back.” Cobb and Bronson had worked together previously on his 2014 release, Eliot Bronson. “But this album is different,” Bronson points out. “It’s more sparse and economical. My voice is stronger. And I think it’s a step away from the purely Americana vibe of the last one in a direction that I have a hard time defining. I’m excited to discover how this music will define itself.  I'm immensely proud of this record. It’s the best thing I’ve done. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

James  offers songs that are more like pictures than movies, capturing moments and digging deeply into their meanings. A stomping beat, raw harmonica and searing electric slide drives the opening track, “Breakdown In G Major,” followed by a selection of songs that only confirm Bronson’s restless, escalating excellence.

Grant Maloy Smith Releases ‘Dust Bowl – American Stories’

6/2/2017

Picture
(NASHVILLE, Tenn. Press Release) - The new album “Dust Bowl – American Stories” (Suburban Cowboy Records) by Grant Maloy Smith was not meant to be political, but the singer/songwriter thinks there are lessons to be learned from its subject.

The 13-track album was inspired by the Dust Bowl, the series of massive dust storms that blew across America’s Southern Plains during the 1930s, destroying crops, killing livestock, and sickening untold numbers of people. A result of years of drought exacerbated by poor land management and over-farming, the Dust Bowl is widely regarded as the worst man-made ecological disaster of the early 20th century.

“My main goal in writing the album was to capture the hardy nature of those people who endured so much, set against the backdrop of this real-life drama,” Smith said. “These storms happened over and over, for years. People were sickened from breathing in pounds of dirt each year. Pneumonia and other respiratory ailments were common. ‘Dust Bowl – American Stories’ is a cautionary tale, but it’s also about the triumph of the human spirit in the face of great adversity.”

More than a recitation of historical facts, Smith’s songs bring the Dust Bowl to life, by telling personal stories of how the disaster affected individuals, many of whom were forced to flee their homes when dirt covered everything.

With a slow, haunting opening, the song “Old Black Roller” paints a frightening picture of an approaching storm, eventually building to a heart-pounding crescendo and setting an ominous tone for what is to come. (“Old Black Roller, why’d you come today? Half of Oklahoma is blowing dead away.”)
