(Press Release) Whitney Rose announces an extensive North American Summer Tour that goes from Texas Hill Country’s legendary Luckenbach Dancehall to the east coast, including, fittingly, multiple appearances at Hill Country Live outposts (Manhattan, Brooklyn and later DC) along the way. The tour also retraces Rose’s own career path, crossing back into Canada with stops in fabled Prince Edward Island, Rose’s actual birthplace, and Toronto, her musical origin. The way home – Austin is now where Rose resides – takes her through Philadelphia, Nashville and Atlanta. Rose will wrap it up in Bertram, TX, at The Globe Theatre, a recently revitalized Hill Country musical landmark.

Rose will bring some of Austin’s most respected country and rockabilly players on the road – you can take the girl out of Texas, but the girl can take the best of Texas with her. Rose just relocated to Austin in January, and has already settled in quickly. In addition to swiftly assembling and finding a groove with a new band, Rose has established a fruitful weekly residency at The Continental Club with an ever-growing following. Trust the experts – Dwight Yoakam and Raul Malo, for example – Rose’s countrypolitan sound, sense of song and enthralling stage presence make her worthy of considerable praise she’s received thus far. "Whitney Rose writes the kind of country music that will one day firmly place her as one of the greats of the genre" says Malo.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — When Tamara Saviano began working on Without Getting Killed or Caught: The Life and Music of Guy Clark, her no-holds-barred biography of the beloved Americana music icon, she already knew Clark’s peers and fans loved and respected him. She’d also heard that profiling still-living subjects was harder than chronicling those who’d departed. But she was still surprised that every single one of her 200-plus interview subjects checked with Clark before agreeing to talk.

He gave them all the same answer: “I’m not out to rewrite the truth. Just tell her everything. Don’t hold back.”

KELLY WILLIS ON WHY MUSICIANS CAN’T SEEM TO QUIT
IN SECOND EPISODE OF THE NEXT WALTZ

Singer is interviewed by Bruce Robison and shares new single in web serieswhere artists offer insights and record new music with top session talent for release as video, streamed/downloaded singles, playlists, and podcasts.

AUSTIN, Texas (Press Release) -- Kelly Willis teamed up with husband Bruce Robison
to record and produce her first original single in a decade as part of his multi-faceted media company and web series, The Next Waltz.
A followup to the launch with Jerry Jeff Walker, the second episode with Willis showcases the true beauty of the series, which lies in the ability to transplant the viewer to Robison’s Lockhart studio, where the singer-songwriter’s ability to engage artists on a peer-to-peer level allows him to draw out stories in a way most journalists can’t. For the first time in history, Robison sat on the other side of the table from his wife, Willis, in the comfort of studio couches, as an interviewer rather than fellow interviewee, delving deep into her inspirations and motivations as a musician.

A true Austin treasure, Willis has had an extensive career dating back more than 25 years, when she first touched down in Texas. Beginning with rockabilly band Radio Ranch, she moved on to a solo stint with a major label and from there into a duo career with Robison, whose credits include writing the No. 1 hits “Travelin’ Soldier” (Dixie Chicks), “Wrapped” (George Strait) and “Angry All the Time” (Tim McGraw). For the first time since her 2007 album Translated From Love, Willis will be releasing new original solo work, a single titled “Flower on the Vine,” on July 8.

3 Million Spotify Plays In Its First Month, Global Touring and
Launch of 12-Track Album Co-Produced by Lee Brice

In a classic case of "opposites attract," American Young finds two celebrated songwriters — Kristy Osmunson and Jon Stone — joining forces, bringing together a set of influences that run from classic country to modern pop. The result is American Young's genre-bending debut album, a self-tiled record filled with everything from entwined harmonies and fiddle solos to digital samples.

“Jon’s a perfectionist and a finisher,” explains Kristy, a classically-trained violinist who crossed paths with her future bandmate at a Lee Brice performance in Nashville. “He works harder than anybody I know. I’m all about the vibe and the feel of the moment."

Nashville, TN (June 30, 2016 Press Release) - Rising star Leslie Cours Mather's "We Are America" is a rallying cry for unity.  The new single is at radio now, and is available for free download from Mather's website to fans who join her mailing list.

Mathers wrote the compelling song immediately after 9/11.  "I was heartbroken," she recalls.  "But all over Los Angeles, you'd see countless American flags flying from cars.  Our country was unified - briefly."  Leslie, a self-professed Army "brat," admits to feeling a certain level of disappointment when LA Lakers' flags replaced the stars and stripes just a few short months later.  "I think that if people are indifferent we have a problem," Mather states.  "It seems more important than ever that we remember that we are a people united by this country we call home ... united we stand; divided we fall.  That's what 'We Are America' is all about - and why we're releasing it now."
