Nashville, TN – August, 2016 --- This morning indie sensation Cody Johnson woke up to the news that his album GOTTA BE ME was sitting at #1 on the iTunes Country Album Chart and #2 on the iTunes All Genre Album Chart.  GOTTA BE ME is available in stores now and on iTunes here.

Johnson’s success is one more reminder of both the power of traditional country music, and the genuine thirst fans have for it.  His explosive live shows have earned comparisons to Chris LeDoux and the on stage passion of Garth Brooks, and his voice has been deemed as instantly identifiable as that of country King George Strait.  Couple his fiery on stage persona with the powerful delivery of well-lived lyrics in “Cowboy Life” and “Gotta Be Me” and you begin to see why Johnson stands out in today’s country landscape as unique and authentic - and why fans adore him for it.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - (Press Release) -- Kelsey Waldon caught critics and fans attention alike with her debut album in 2014, and is now set to release I've Got A Way on August 12. Recently receiving advance praise from NPR's Ann Powers, Waldon's new record is ready to continue her story with a chapter full of confidence for her place in the world, as well as what she's known for -- great songs. Today, Rolling Stone premiered the video for "All By Myself," which was filmed in her hometown of Monkey's Eyebrow, KY.

Produced by Michael Rinne like her debut, Waldon's sophomore album isn't just a next step; it's a forward leap. Her message is loud and clear on original cuts like "All by Myself," "Don't Hurt the Ones (Who've Loved You the Most)," and "Life Moves Slow." She shines on arrangements of Vern and Rex Gosdin's "There Must Be a Someone" and Bill Monroe's "Traveling Down This Lonesome Road," as well as the classic country kiss-off cut, "You Can Have It."

Tawny Ellis Premiere Video for "Before All This Trouble"

"We went for dressing up a like civil war era couple for the album cover and we were inspired by the real photos of couples who would go and get their daguerreotypes made and back in the late 1800's. They would give you one shot, if you messed it up would have to wait a long time till the camera was ready for the next one. We also used the real historical daguerreotypes from the 1800s in our video.  It's ironic that when we did the album cover photo shoot the shot we chose was the first shot of the whole session. We didn't need to do anymore. I guess we were inspired to do it old school. I even wore the corset pulled very tight, not to mention is was 100 degrees out and I had on three layers of skirts, a Long sleeve shirt and the corset. I almost passed out."--TAWNY ELLIS

A native of Savannah, GA and now living in Los Angeles, Tawny Ellis released the acclaimed EP, Ghosts of the Low Country, in 2015--her 6th recording and 2nd EP. "Before All This Trouble" is a single written by Ellis and her husband, long time collaborator Giovanni Loria. They filmed the video in February of 2016 in Boyle Heights, CA. Pre-release of the single is set for July 15th, 2016 and the official release date for the single is August 12th, 2016.

Country Lips Premiere New Track, "Grizzly Bear Billboard"

8/4/2016

American Standard Time premiered the lead single "Grizzly Bear Billboard" saying "it has the perfect two-steppin’ backbone, suggesting a full dance-floor of sweeties in a low lit bar."

Seattle's 8-piece Country Lips began playing together seven years glorious years ago. Although often described as "Party Country," they take a lot of influence from older outlaw country acts such as George Jones, Johnny Paycheck, and the Louvin Brothers. Throw in some Bakersfield Country, a la Merle, Buck, and Yoacham, then The Beatles, then Norteno bands like Voz de Mando, and you have one rowdy good-time crew.

Recent notable shows have included playing with Nikki Lane and Whitey Morgan outside of Austin last summer at the Manor, TX edition of Bandit Town during SXSW. They've opened for Blackberry Smoke at the Neptune, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers at the Crocodile and Sturgill Simpson during his last tour in Seattle. When playing live, they have an absolute blast, with the friendly warning that "in one set you’re likely to see five different lead singers, swapping soloists, all manner of hoots and harmonies, and (at least) one spilled beer."
