(Nashville, Tennessee...Press Release) - November 8, 2017 - Pianist Kory Caudill stirred the music world with his "Song For Appalachia" single and music video earlier this year, and he has announced the release of Christmas with Kory Caudill & Friends on Friday, November 10, 2017. The 11-song collection includes timeless standards and the stirring new lullaby "Sleepy Little Baby Boy." Produced by Caudill and Jamie Tate, the new album will be available on Rukkus Room Records.

"When Jamie, myself and the band set out to make a Christmas record, we knew there were several routes we could take in terms of our approach," said Caudill. "Ultimately, we wanted to make a Christmas record that allowed folks to feel the same enthusiasm about the season when they listen to it as we felt when we recorded the album."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 7, 2017 Press Release) - Jon Pardi kicks off CMA Awards week with multiple CMA Award nominations, in-depth feature stories and a sold-out headlining “CMT On Tour Presents Jon Pardi’s Lucky Tonight Tour.” Country Living shares how '"Dirt On My Boots is the most relatable country song of the year,” HERE.  The Tennessean has more on his first-ever CMA performance and nominations (HERE) and Pollstar is breaking the news about his SOLD-OUT headlining “CMT On Tour Presents Jon Pardi’s Lucky Tonight Tour.” Read more about his “...eye-catching numbers...” and 17-date sellout, HERE.

Pardi is currently nominated for CMA’s New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year, and “Dirt On My Boots” is also up for CMA Song Of The Year. Pardi recently earned his first-ever American Music Awards nomination for Favorite Song-Country.

The headlining “CMT On Tour Presents Jon Pardi’s Lucky Tonight Tour” is CMT’s fastest-selling tour to date and includes venues nationwide with audiences ranging from 1,000 - 5,500. Venues like Grayson Stadium in Savannah, GA sold-out with the most tickets sold since Bob Dylan in ‘05 (Peachtree Ent.) and Billy Bob’s sold out days in advance - a rare feat considering the last show to sell out in advance was Florida Georgia Line in ‘13 (Chris Spinks, Marketing Director, Billy Bob’s). The tour features special guests Midland and Runaway June.

Pardi’s traditional sound and tireless work ethic is resonating with fans. Fourth single “She Ain’t In It” was most-added with 50 first-week stations and Billboard called it “a stone-cold weeper that would make George Strait nod with approval.” “She Ain’t In It” follows Pardi’s three consecutive No. 1 hits with his Platinum-selling “Head Over Boots,” the three-week chart-topper “Dirt On My Boots,” and most-recently, “Heartache On The Dance Floor.”

Fans can tune in to the 51st CMA Awards airing live from Nashville Nov. 8 at 8pm ET on ABC, and voting is now open for AMA’s Favorite Song-Country with results airing live from Los Angeles Nov. 19 at 8pm ET on ABC.

Pardi is set to join Miranda Lambert’s Livin’ Like Hippies Tour in early 2018. For more information, please visit

Video Premiere: The Battlefield "Highway"

11/6/2017

Mining the American songbook, The Battlefield craft deeply moving, elegant portraits of humanity, both embracing the beauty, yet never shying away from the ugliness. The quartet's - Matt Ducey, Jenny Weaver, James Addison and JJ Moser - latest, The Journey EP, is built on a foundation of impeccable songwriting, dynamic musicianship, and warm harmonies and is a timeless, yet modern portrait of life and relationships.

Today, TDC is pleased to premiere the video for one of the EP's three tracks, "Highway." The buoyant tune is a hopeful, shuffling ode to following one's dreams and passions and enjoying, and being grateful for, every single second of it.

James Addison relates the story behind the song, "Highway" was written in the summer of 2015 while The Battlefield was recording our debut album Tipping Point. Having spent more than a decade actively pursuing artistic endeavors in LA, I was homesick, complacent with my job, and I felt like I was just spinning my wheels. This song began as a hopeful and optimistic plea to a loved one to leave this place for good and start over. Life is simply too short to be that restless. "Highway's" meaning has changed over time for The Battlefield. As we've spent more and more time touring across the country, it's become somewhat of an anthem for us. We often perform it at the end of our set as a way to thank our fans and say "Happy trails amigos, until we meet again!"

With Jenny Weaver adding, "Highway" is a reminder to get out into the beauty of nature and to fuel the spark of passion that lives inside each of us. We get so bogged down in the rat race of accomplishment and responsibility that we forget to notice the profound beauty of the night sky. It's a call to take a break when things feel overwhelming - to simply set out with someone you love in order to witness the magnificence of the natural world - to find joy in the adventure."

The video captures the band's varied adventures on the road from sunrise to sunset and points in between. Matt Ducey notes,

"The adventures of being a small indie band on the road are hard to encapsulate in a few minutes. There's such a wide range of experiences. There are some trying moments, some tiring moments, and of course there are many magical moments, which fuel the engines of our hearts and keep us driving forward. With this video, we just wanted to give an honest, low budget look at some of the many moments of our work and the scenery of our adventures. It's a fun little ride. We're happy to have you along."

"Life's a short one let me tell ya
Think twice and it's gone"

Enjoy, then share, the video above.

CMA AWARDS 2017 PREDICTIONS

11/5/2017

PictureCourtesy: CMA Website
So it's that time of year again! The 2017 Country Music Association Awards are fast approaching and, as usual, Kasey from Hitting All The Right Notes and I have teamed up to post our thoughts on potential winners. Read on for all the details and let us know your thoughts! Enjoy the show on Wednesday 8th November.

ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR

Garth Brooks
Luke Bryan
Eric Church
Chris Stapleton
Keith Urban

KASEY
Who will win – Got to be Garth...his substantial tour has been incredibly popular and, whilst he is in-between albums, his popularity doesn’t seem to be in danger of fading any time soon.
Who should win – Eric please! Equally, it’d be great to see Keith pull this off but I’m not convinced that’s likely this year.
TARA
Who will win - Have to agree with Kasey
Who should win - It is truly time to give this to Eric Church. Unmatched by his contemporaries with regards to his live show.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
SINGLE OF THE YEAR
Better Man – Little Big Town
Blue Ain’t Your Color – Keith Urban
Body Like A Back Road – Sam Hunt
Dirt On My Boots – Jon Pardi
Tin Man – Miranda Lambert

KASEY
Who will & should win – Interesting to see Blue Ain’t Your Color yet again making an appearance here. There’s the outside chance for an unexpected winner here but Better Man has been huge for Little Big Town and they deserve to take home the award here.
TARA
Who will win – I’m not saying it deserves to win here, but Hunt’s record shattering monster of a tune will probably be rewarded. Hell, it might not be the best lyrically, but that pop-country melody stayed in my head for days. Go ahead and judge.
Who should win – For me it’s a toss-up between “Better Man,” which quite frankly makes me cry every time I hear it, or Lambert, Ingram, and Randall’s stirring “Tin Man.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
ALBUM OF THE YEAR
The Breaker – Little Big Town
From A Room: Volume 1 – Chris Stapleton
Heart Break – Lady Antebellum
That Nashville Sound – Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit
The Weight Of These Wings – Miranda Lambert

KASEY
Who will win – It feels like this comes down to Little Big Town, Chris or Miranda. Both Chris and Miranda won this award with their last albums and, ultimately, I feel like this is Miranda’s to lose.  The Weight Of These Wings was an incredibly well received album and seemed to connect well with a lot of listeners.
Who should win – Surely it’s time to see Little Big Town take an Album Of The Year award?!  There are some really great moments in the album and the quartet delivered a well-crafted, compelling album.
TARA
Who Will Win - Isbell. Just as they rewarded Stapleton, the CMA will jump on the cool train and bestow the award on Isbell, who has said to Men’s Journal that he doesn’t consider himself a country singer.
Who Should Win – Personally, I didn’t love any of these albums, but if I had to choose, I would pick Miranda’s.

Emily Faye Releases "Open Road"

11/5/2017

Picture
Emily Faye's journey into music and storytelling began in a back corner bedroom in a remote village deep in the English countryside. Her earliest musical influences came from the songs played on a mixtape made by her father, with the distinct voices of Stevie Nicks and Paula Cole paving the way for the captivating sound Emily creates and performs today. Having taken the time to study songwriting at London's British And Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM), her abilities as both an artist and a songwriter seemingly have no limits, something which is showcased in the balance between songs which manage to be both catchy and deep in her early material. During the four years she attended the renowned college, she co-wrote and collaborated with like-minded musicians to begin gigging around the capital.

With the help of her bandmates and the relentless support of her family, Emily has successfully begun to make her mark within the ever-changing industry and is now in demand as one of the UK's most exciting new country artists. Having recently travelled to the home of country music - Nashville, Tennessee - earlier this year to record her debut EP set for release early next year, Emily Faye is certainly a name to look out for.

Faye has released her brand new single 'Open Road', the first song from the forthcoming new EP. In her own words, "'Open Road' is inspired by my parents' adventures in their 1940’s VW Campervan, combined with how it doesn't matter where you are in the world, when you are with someone you love there is nothing more you need."
